.....i was cheering for japan all the way.....but sadly she got 1st runner up.....
i m talkin bout miss universe 2006 ..it was live today morning on AStro.....
btw miss puerto rico -zuleyka rivera won...this is like 5th time their winning....so far like venuzuela n india are the only few coutries to have a 5 win record......


only 3 asian countries were shortlisted in the semifinals....japan, india n thailand.....u wanna know y i was so so in love with miss japan- kurara chibana... have a look at her pic

she even won best national costume....hahahah wat on earth happened to japan's famous kimono..... no more kimono...its japanese anime samurai now.....so chun rite...

the crowd was shouting for her too more than the cheer for USA ( host country)....
she spoke in japanese la...but with th help of translater...she nailed the qnA session..2 she spoke 1 line of english tho...she said " good evening ladies n gentlemen, everyone is cheering so loud n i can feel ur excitement...thank you so much"....( sumthni like dat la)

her final question was " if u had power to change sumthin in the world what will it b n why?"
she answered in jap : the world needs to know bout man n womens equal rights, sum men r misusing their rights n so yada yada yada...cant remember...but i was like blown away by her answer...the last time i heard such a good answer was of course from Aishwarya rai when she won miss world in 1994.....


but anyway puerto rico won...n she is drop dead gorgeous as well.....
i m still waiting for the day our malaysian gal...makes it all the way.....malaysia boleh..!!!
